* This morning when we woke up, Joseph wanted to take his diaper off right away. I tried getting him to leave it on til we got downstairs but he insisted on taking it off. I was working on getting myself and Noah out of bed when Joseph comes into the bedroom from the hallway going YEEEEEE!! with his hands up in the air....the same thing he does after going potty in his potty chair. So I'm thinking, Great, he peed on the floor. I walk into the hallway to find he had peed in a decorative glass bowl I had sitting on the floor. I wasnt happy he peed in my bowl, but he had to go, and it was better than peeing on the floor! Such a smart little boy! I only wonder if he sat on the bowl (like he sits on his potty) or he stood and peed in it...? :)
* Last night after I finished my post and went upstairs to go to bed I found the boys sleeping soundly. Joseph had his arm out almost like he was holding Noah's hand, and Noah had his leg out, sitting on top of Joseph's leg. Joe was snoring. :)
* I've been trying to get Noah to take a bottle so he will actually eat something if and when I ever have to be away from him. I had planned on going to Fargo tomorrow and leaving both kids with Joe but with Noah refusing the bottle I'm not going. Anyways. So I was trying to get Noah to use the bottle today and Joseph so badly wanted to help. He kept taking the bottle from me and shoving it in Noah's mouth. He kept trying long after I had given up. Its funny, we never use bottles, ever, (I had to buy one yesterday to try out on Noah) but the second I brought the bottle out, Joseph knew that it went in the baby's mouth, he held it the right way, everything, like he knew exactly how they work. Smart boy, consider we never use bottles and he's never had much experience with them. :)
* I was on the computer earlier and quite distracted by what I was doing. Joseph had went potty on his own and I hadnt realized. I heard him yelling (Yeeeee!) and was not paying attention to him, so he kept yelling Yeeeee! Yeeeeeeee! YEEEEEE! until it finally clicked that he was praising himself for going potty! He had to make sure he told me that he went potty, and every time he does, YEEEEEEEE!! :)
* I looked over at Noah today to find him chewing on our leather automan/foot rest thing. He was laying on his belly gnawing on the corner of it...ummmmm....teething much??? :)
And lastly...
* Both kids were in their beds, sleeping, by ten o'clock tonight. :)

Rainy Thursday
Today the kids and I finally left the house. We HAD to get some groceries so we made a trip into town. During the winter months it seemed like I was getting so stir crazy, wanting to go somewhere, anywhere, just to get out and do something. Now that it's nice(er) out, I haven't minded staying home. We could be home all week long and I'm not itching to get out of the house. Maybe its the weather, maybe its the kids being more content, who knows? Joseph has his play room now that we moved our bedroom upstairs. Its always a huge distaster area but when its clean he (and Noah) seem to enjoy being in there.
I love watching the boys interact with each other. I was making dinner the other night and left Noah in the playroom with Joseph and turned a movie on for them. I peeked in to check on them (joseph kept shutting the doors) and Joseph was just sitting on the floor next to Noah watching the movie and they were playing with some toys. I just know he's going to be a great big brother :) He's usually very good with him, although now that Noah is starting to be more grabby (very grabby I should say) Joseph isn't liking him stealing all his toys. I've been trying to emphasize that we need to share our toys, or at least get Joseph to trade if he really wants it back. Noah's a typical little boy tho, LOVES cars already, and he's not even six months old yet! He took off 'crawling' after a Cars car last night. He looked like a caterpillar, but he was moving forward, and FAST! He wanted that car and he was gonna get it! I could barely get him moved back and the car set back in front of him before he was going after it again. He just all of a sudden went for it. He's getting to be such a big boy...Can't believe he's almost six months old. Seriously? Almost half a year has gone by since he was born. I thought time went fast when Joseph was a baby, its going even faster this time around. Seems like just yesterday he was born. Joseph too... :( boooo.
Joseph had a hay day in Walmart today. Do you have any idea how much Cars merchandise is in that store? Everywhere you look you see Lightening McQueen. And Joseph spots it, no matter what its on. And he goes nuts, OHHHHH!! pointing and trying to grab it. Lucky for him, Easter is around the corner so he got spoiled and got a lot of what he wanted. Socks, a new tooth brush, a potty seat for the toilet, and big boy underwear. ALL of it Cars stuff. I was feeling bad I hadnt picked out anything for Noah. I looked and couldnt find anything for him. Not even clothes. Target has a better selection for baby things, I'll pick him up something next time I'm there. Thinking about getting him one of those chairs that go in the tub. He LOVES being in the bath or shower, just like Joseph. My boys are such angels,...sometimes! ;) Well, I should sign off for now. Try to get some sleep before someone wakes up and needs me! Thanks for reading!! <3

My first post :)
Greetings!
I decided to start a little blog about my life and adventures in raising my children. This (hopefully) will be a great way for our family and friends to keep up with things that go on in our lives as the boys grow each day.
The big news lately: Today is day 3 of Joseph using his potty! He's been using it very consistently since the 26th. I usually let the boys sit without a diaper for a little while in the mornings and evenings. (I certainly wouldn't want to wear a diaper all day!) and he kept peeing little bits at a time and really watching down there. I asked him if he needed to use his potty (he had pooped a few times in his potty before, but never made pee) so I put it in the living room for him, and wouldnt you know he sat down and peed! He's been at it ever since. I was reminding him a lot at first, asking if he needed to go, and he always would. Now he's doing it all on his own, stopping playing and using his potty, even if I'm not in the room! He gets very excited and will come and find to tell me he went. He claps and says yay for himself. He likes to take it and dump it in the toilet. He will examine it, sticking his face right up to it, studying it almost. He's so smart.
He also made poop today! He didn't use the potty on his own, I saw him going so sugguested he use the potty. He sat right down and finished. He hasn't wore a diaper all week, except during nap and bed time. We'll probably go to town tomorrow... I hope he doesnt mind wearing a diaper then, I don't think we're ready to go without one ;)
I noticed this morning that Noah's 2nd tooth is just barely starting to poke through. He got his first tooth last tuesday, just over a week ago. He's been in pretty good spirits, not really grumpy. He's happily playing in the living room talking to himself. His big thing is uhGA uhGa uhGa over and over and over. He sits up almost all the time now while playing. He still tips over sometimes but complains til you sit him back up. He did sit himself up last week, I will have to check what day. He also sits on his hands and knees quite often, rocking back and forth. He scoots all over, backwards mostly and can move forward a little at a time...
